Aging brings about the disfiguring of your facial appearance and loss of structure. The face shortens up and strange lines known as wrinkles start showing up. This is especially caused by loss of bone due to teeth loss or melting of the jawbone. How exactly does dental insurance help? In my opinion, it is a cross between a ponzie scheme and snake oil. You pay a monthly premium and supposedly get a lower price on dental costs. The dentist still has to make a profit, so he just increases all costs to compensate for any negotiated prices with insurance companies. The dentist accepts insurance in the hope that it will bring business to him or the fear that he will lose business of people that have insurance that he does not accept. The insurance company profits. The one who pays for the insurance company's profits and for the dentist's profits is you the customer. The original intent of insurance in general had more to do with the name than what it has become today. People would insure something the same way they could hedge their bets. It guarantees against a total loss but also guarantees against the biggest win. Today, people try to use it like a substitute payment plan. It is actually more expensive that way. Just negotiate with cash for your dental services and you will get more for your money. As for the cost, it could be $10/month... it just depends on who you buy from and the plan you choose. Just keep in mind, you are buying a service, not saving anything. It will cost you more in the long run.

dental fillings fill in holes which were created to bur out cavities.. dental sealants seal developmental grooves.. natural lines or crevices on teeth surfaces.. these prevent cavities from forming.. you can put a sealant on a filling to make it last longer or to hide it.. but most good fillings don't need to be sealed.. does the hole have a cavity? if it has a cavity then the cavity has to be removed.. and filling is used.. if there is no cavity then it can be sealed to prevent one from forming..

Insurance allows you to see a dentist who charges, for example, $1000.00 for the crown. You pay $500 and the insurance pays $500. The dentist is paid his full fee. With a discount plan, the "insurance" company pays $0.0 and you pay $500.00. But now the dentist only makes $500.00. Do you think that the dentist that accepts $500.00 as full payment does the same type of quality dentistry as the dentist that accepts $500.00? You can't get something for nothing. Only the government thinks that way.

Well every job has it's downsides, but dental hygiene is a great career. Bls.gov says that the employment growth is projected to be 30%, much faster than average. It is in demand and offers great pay, especially for an associate's degree. And yes they do get good benefits, just like any job, you have to search around and interview to find a job that offers benefits that are valuable to you.
